Ronnie grew up in Houston, Texas, to incredibly hardworking and loving Mexican immigrant parents. By God’s grace, he surrendered his life to Christ in high school. In college at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Ronnie was discipled and his passion for studying the Bible was kindled. Even though Ronnie served five years as an officer in the Air Force, he always looked for opportunities to serve the local church. During his first assignment in the Air Force, he met his wife, Amanda and they married within two years.

Through the course of 20+ years, Ronnie and Amanda have lived in three countries, five houses, and now have four teenagers. Most recently, the Garcias lived in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where they participated in planting the first three PCA churches on the island.

Ronnie loves philosophy, the Houston Astros, and compulsively using double spaces after sentences.
