Churchwide Discipleship

“Go and make disciples of all nations…“

At its core, being a Christian means being a disciple of Jesus.

Admittedly, following Jesus in a complex world is not at simple as it may seem.
Denver Pres longs to be a community where its members can grow in both humility
and conviction. To that end, we deliberately offer Christian discipleship and formation classes aimed at three areas:

  • Biblical Literacy

  • Biblical and Systematic Theology

  • Biblical Worldview

Our discipleship curriculum is designed to shape our character in the warmth and humility of Christ, while at the same time creating deep conviction and intellectual clarity about the teachings of Christ.

These classes are offered 8 times a year beginning each Fall.
(Each class is offered twice during the month to ensure maximum participation.)

Churchwide Discipleship classes are offered
September-May.

February Topic - Why Do We Need the Church?
Can followers of Jesus be spiritual, but reject the church?
As more people describe themselves as "ex-vangelical" or "deconstructing," we need to see the truth and beauty of the church in order to offer hope to those who may struggle with this spiritual institution populated by sinners. Brad Edwards, pastor of a sister church in Lafayette, will contribute his insights from his work on this topic, which is addressed in his forthcoming book, The Reason for Church.
